Speech – The Dogfight That Never Was – & Book Signing
May 4 @ 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm
On November 18th, 1952, two U.S. Navy F9Fs were vectored north to intercept and escort a flight of 7 MiG-15s coming south from Vladivostok. What ensued was a dogfight in which the Navy jets shot down 6 of the Soviet fighters in an incident that the U.S. Navy didn’t acknowledge happened until 2023 when it posthumously awarded the Navy Cross to one of the two pilots, Royce Williams, Captain, USN (retired). This speech is about what happened.
