Many political leaders from both sides of the aisle would like you to think that the pressing domestic policy issues the United States faces in the 21st Century are new. Unfortunately, if they studied American history, they would learn they are not new.
Our Founding Fathers had to deal with these same issues when we were governed under the Articles of Confederation and under our Constitution. The difference is that the geopolitical and domestic context in which our leaders dealt with them has changed over time. Nonetheless, the core issues still remain the same.
In this presentation, Marc covers 10 from the 1790s that we still debate in 21st Century. The solutions to these issues are fundamentally the same but must be updated to meet the demands of our changing society. Every one of the issues Marc covers are discussed by politicians, talking heads on TV, written about in opinion pieces, and in social media as if they are new. They are not.
